Srinagar, Sep 23 (KNO): The J&K Sports Council on Wednesday conducted UT-level trials for Sub-Junior Boys (Football) at the TRC Synthetic Football Turf, Srinagar, to select the J&K team for the NFC National Football Championship 2026.
In a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a spokesperson said young footballers from across the Union Territory participated in the trials.
He said an expert selection panel assessed the players on their technical skills, game awareness and overall fitness, with the assessments supported by a physiotherapy team.
The spokesperson said Secretary, J&K Sports Council, Tazayun Mukhtar Kawos (JKAS), was also present during the proceedings.
He said the Sports Council remains committed to identifying and nurturing grassroots sporting talent across Jammu and Kashmir through a transparent and merit-based selection process—(KNO)
